How To Support Your Favorite Local Drifting Driver

December 26th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Extreme Sports
Gregg Hall asked:

Drifting or formula D is a sport that has come all the way from Tokyo Japan to the United States to give a new sport to us. Drifting isn't like any other racing sport. You must drive a rear wheel drive car or at least have the front wheel drive disconnected in order to drift. The way that you win is the way you drift around a given course if you complete without crashing and execute nice moves then you have a good chance of placing.

If you are already fans then you probably have a favorite driver and he is probably Japanese. With a wide array of pro drivers you are bound to know and have a favorite one. If you are a fan then you should support drifting and show that you love the sport. Not only is fan support good for the sport but it will help the sport grow.

As it comes time to show love for your drivers you should know what to do. Fan support is important to the growth of the support as a whole. Fan support to someone or a driver shows them that at least someone knows who they are. When someone knows that they have fans out there then it makes them feel good.

A good way to support a driver is to support their gear that they wear or who they are sponsored by. Even though it is very famous already drifting still pretty new, but there are still people out there who don't even know what the sport is about. That is why it can be hard to find drifting clothes or merchandise. You can find anything that you put your mind to just keep looking or supporting and it should happen.

If you have a good product of the sport of drifting then you should advertise it. Maybe others will start to buy it get their own ideas and the sport will grow faster. You could sell the shirts at events so people will wear them and will be seen. This will let the publicity know that it is booming and they will start showing more and more events causing the drivers to do more and more contests making more and more money causing more and more merchandise. It all goes in after one another, like a domino effect.

So don't not only support one driver support the sport altogether. Without drifting you wouldn't even be able to watch it. That is the main reason why you should go out and show love for the sport. You can do this by filling out surveys or just going to live events. You can find them in California, Washington, New Jersey, all over.

Now after you know how to give support as a whole go out and show some love for drifting and all the people doing it. Its a lot harder to control a car that you have control of but try controlling a car that is out of control that is what drifting is.

Unique Wholesale Wedding Gifts

December 26th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Ecommerce
Drawlon Tsang asked:

As more couples live together before walking down the aisle, outfitting an entire home is becoming something of the past for wedding guests. Many couples don't need the blenders, knives, bedding, or other home gifts. The opportunity to give a unique wedding gift has never been more welcome, and most can be found at a local wholesale retailer. For a true deviation from the registry list, try these unique wholesale wedding gifts this wedding season.

Sporting Equipment

The war on obesity is on! Dietitians and nutrition experts recommend couples engage in exercise activity together. Wholesale sporting equipment is a wedding gift that not only encourages more quality time as a couple, but is also an investment into the happy couple's health. Both indoor and outdoor wholesale sporting equipment fit the bill. The best wedding gifts will consist of wholesale sporting equipment the bride and groom are interested in, or have expressed a previous interest in attempting.

Home Security

Wholesale home security products can give a newly wedded couple peace of mind. Home security products are wide and varied, from wholesale keypad door locks to overstock outdoor flood lights. Another aspect of home security frequently overlooked is the emergency preparedness kit. Items like wholesale batteries, liquidated flashlights, and shelf-pulled dry goods are true lifesavers during inclement weather or a home accident such as fire.

Wall Art

One area new couples struggle with is setting aside resources for decor. Nothing makes a house feel like a home than inviting images and artwork on the bare walls. Wholesale artwork and liquidated prints are perfect ways to provide impressive wall art without the impressive wall art price. If selecting a specific print or wholesale artwork, opt for a liquidated wall mirror instead. Smaller apartments and rooms are opened up by the strategic use of wholesale mirrors, and can operate as a window imitator.

As with any wedding gift, intimate knowledge of the couple increase the likelihood the gift will be well received. Unique wholesale wedding gifts allow a guest's gift to stand out, and also bring a new dimension to the newly wedded life of the bride and groom. Wholesale sporting equipment will keep the happy couple active long after the honeymoon. If the home is a fortress, help the new husband and wife keep it protected with wholesale home security products. Finally, bring an aspect of warmth to even the smallest of homes with a wholesale piece of wall art or a liquidated wall mirror.

All things considered, close friends of the new family should really take some time before choosing a present for their happily married friends because a gift is a very intimate gesture that expresses feelings in a subtle manner so it is highly advisable to pick the right one because there is only one chance of getting it right, you know what they say, better safe than sorry. Many wholesale wedding gifts companies have a site on the Internet so it is recommended to start looking there first. Good luck !

Volvo Accessories Is For Those That Like Suave Style Not Screaming Tyres

December 26th, 2008 by admin | No Comments | Filed in Cars
Dominic Donaldson asked:

I'm going to run a couple of cliche'd scenarios past your beady peepers, hoping that you make the connection and build a picture in your head. Fluffy dice, furry steering wheel covers and sun visors emblazoned with Kezza and Jase. Drum n bass music blaring out of cars that are essentially speaker housing accompanied by the smell of burning rubber. Did you envisage a white escort, with a spoiler and neon lights being driven by a badly dressed 'wide boy ' and his missus, doing a hand break turn in a disused car park to impress some kids that are too young to drive? If you did then your idea of car accessories is dangerously out of date.

Yes, these products are still available, but the streets are not being taken over by street racers looking for cheap thrills pretending they are in a game of grand theft auto. The wares available from car shops can be mixed and matched to great effect and are just as likely to be bought by owners of a Volvo as owners of the latest hot hatch. In fact, rather than finding neon blue strip lights and novelty alloys, it is much more likely that a specialist stockist for a car manufacturer will be selling branded merchandise that has as much to do with personal style as useful gadgets.

Car accessories have come a long way since leather driving gloves, goggles and fleece lined hats. The sort of specialist equipment available now is satellite navigation systems and built in cameras to aide parking. We could also get DVD and Playstations fitted to the headrests of the front seats. There are coin holders and flasks with the car badge engraved into the brushed aluminium or steel finish, with matching greenkeeper ring for when a game of golf is on the agenda. This a whole different class of merchandise, a range for the more discerning driver. A driver that is more likely to order an Adnams ale that a vodka Redbull with tequila chaser; not that I'm insinuating that any of these people drink and drive.

This driver is a bit Bond, a bit Mr. Milk Tray and definitely not a tyre spinning street urchin piling it around the streets of a town that went to bed at 8pm. This driver will be sporting a smart casual wardrobe, with the jumper also displaying the favoured badge of the vehicle du jour. There is the possibility that this person has many wardrobes, each with its own collections of cufflinks with matching tie depending on the car that is being driven that day. Ferrari leather gloves and Italian sunglasses are in one cupboard, and the Volvo watch, wallet and tee-shirt in another.

I think we are talking more Jeremy Clarkson than Jay Kay, both of whom have a massive collection of cars in their driveway and numerous garages. In fact, going with the Top Gear theme, James May is more like the example I have in mind for the modern man that shops for matching car accessories. He's also the type of man who likes a pint of ale; I think Jeremy prefers a spot of Stella. He'd be tempted to match his vehicle by sporting a baseball cap and rally style jacket and is not known for style or taste since his debut with Trinny and Sue. Mr May on the other hand could be Mr Milk Tray, silently winding through the streets at night to deliver monogrammed merchandise as a taken of love to the future Mrs Milk Tray; with not a tyre mark in sight.

Stock car racing fans are within a league of their own. Rumbling engines amid fierce rivalry between racing legends and young gunners is what gets them excited. This type always knows who the leaders are and where the next track competition is. They are wired to be in the midst of these thundering battles and will never lose that grip.

Are you within this description? Does your life get truly charged when the topic of racing crosses your mind? Do you share a camaraderie with others of the same spirit when race day draweth near? Well here's another question. What can keep this flame alive 24/7 within the souls of those who truly love this great American sport? ...NASCAR collectibles!

What are NASCAR collectibles? There are multitudes of these including blankets, pillows, rugs, mats, clocks and even bean bags. Die-cast cars, men's and women's apparel, authentic race memorabilia and even home décor and bedding items can be found and purchased to either wear or embellish your domain. These clearly tell others where your loyalty lies!

NASCAR collectibles offer a broad range of affordability so it's possible for pretty much anyone to get in the game. There surely are high-ticket items that are reserved for the more well-to-do out there. Their homes can be wreathed with authentic pieces of past action that are autographed in full glory. There are also countless more affordable items that would appeal to any fan no matter what income bracket he or she is in. There is something for everyone!

Consider stock car racing merchandise as a way to get your life more in focus with your passion. Officially licensed NASCAR collectibles also may be the precise gift to give to someone that you know who lives in the fast lane of this racing world. Why not let yourself and other speed diehards relish in the excitement that makes life bearable before the engines are started for the next dogfight duel on the tracks?

Football Tickets – Passes for the Most Popular Sport in America

December 25th, 2008 by admin | 2 Comments | Filed in Art And Entertainment
Al Terry asked:

What's the big deal with football tickets? Why are so many sports fans willing to pay an arm and a leg to get them? What is it about the sport that makes fans so crazy? If you're not a sports fan, it might be hard to understand the football fever that grips so many people across the country. But football mania is not something new.

Rugby With A Twist?

The game we know as American football today had its beginnings in the game of rugby. A man called Walter Camp brought about a number of changes to the basic rules, which is why football is so different from rugby today. The game really began to catch on in collegiate circuits and in the early part of the twentieth century a number of fierce rivalries grew. The importance of collegiate football has not diminished today and most NFL stars have cut their teeth playing college ball.

Though there was a demand for football tickets from the beginning, the game quickly became associated with violence early on. Back in the early days, players had little or no protective gear and often the head was not protected at all. The effects were devastating; with many players suffering severe injuries, it was not uncommon to hear of players dying during a game. As the game picked up more popularity, football underwent a restructuring of sorts as new rules were brought in to make the game safer.

Football Today

Compared to the way the game used to be played, football is very different today. What was initially seen as a violent and rather unorganized sport has grown into the single most popular spectator sport in the country- needless to say, the demand for football tickets has also risen considerably. The National Football League, which was formed in 1920, is now home to 32 professional teams from across the country. It is also the home to one of the most lucrative sporting events in the world- the Super Bowl.

One of the main draws for football tickets in the NFL is the element of surprise. Observers have often noted that this league is one where any team has a fighting chance at the championship. This is why there have been so many brilliant upsets in the NFL, where underdogs and dark horses have stunned dominant teams into defeat. The NFL also has a law which prevents the more wealthy teams from stockpiling all the good players.

Hollywood has had its share of football as well in more ways than one. A number of great football movies have been made, usually about the struggles of real football teams that have beat the odds and won. A number of football stars have gone on to make their mark as actors as well - OJ Simpson, Bubba Smith, Joe Namath and Carl Weathers to name a few.

Some people have been known to camp out for days in front of the ticket counters, waiting to get game passes for their favorite team. If this doesn't really appeal to you, you can always get your tickets online. Just get online to an online authorized ticket vendor and order your football tickets from home.

Ann Marier asked:

Those searching for the perfect sports collectible have a variety of different sports collectible options to choose from. Baseball, football, soccer −− all of those sports have a range of memorabilia that are sure to satisfy a devoted fan. However, basketball, with its famous players and amazing history, has the ultimate sports collectible to offer: basketball jerseys.

Why Basketball Jerseys are Such a Desirable Sports Collectible

The history of basketball is filled with talented players who stood out from the rest: Bill Russell, Larry Bird, Shaquille O'Neal, even Dennis Rodman. Each of these players brought either immense talent, or, in the case of Dennis Rodman, flashy personality to the game of basketball.

With such notoriety being generated by these basketball players, of course the sports industry had to manufacture copies of each player's basketball jersey in the hopes of it becoming valuable sports collectibles. The fans did not disappoint, and after every basketball game stadium vendors were met with long lines of fans wanting to get basketball jerseys as a sports collectible.

Of course, the basketball jerseys that a fan could get at a game or at a local sports shop were great ways to show their devotion to a particular player. However, for those sports memorabilia collectors, simply owning a copy of their favorite player's jersey was not enough.

Extremely devoted fans would wait outside locker rooms in the days when security was less strict, in the hops of getting their favorite player to sign a jersey. Many players obliged, thus increasing the value of the jersey by potentially hundreds of dollars.

Nowadays, outside of fan events, it has gotten considerably harder to obtain that much-wanted autographed basketball jersey. Thus, avid sports collectors are flocking to specialty shops and to online sites such as eBay, looking for the perfect basketball jersey as a sports collectible.

Of course, it would be ideal to have the actual basketball jersey of one's favorite player, but one truly needs thousands of dollars to fulfill such a wish, if such a wish is even obtainable. Prices of basketball jersey skyrocket when they were actually owned by the player, and even more so if the player's number was retired.

Basketball jerseys are the ultimate sports collectible because they are a way to pay homage to players of a truly exciting sport, a sport that has merged with the entertainment industry to be both a sport and a veritable who's who of both celebrity fans and players.

So, for those who want a true piece of fascinating sports history, buy a basketball jersey. Whether original and signed, or just bought at a game or sports shop, it is guaranteed to be the ultimate symbol of fan devotion to this great game.

Sharon Hopkins asked:

Sports Massage is a specific type of massage which is generally rendered before, during, and after athletic events to help prepare the athlete for desired performance, to relax the nerves and prevent injuries. This type of massage can be rendered only by a professional who has a thorough understanding of anatomy and physiology and particularly the muscular and skeletal systems.

Sports Massage works deep to eliminate toxins embedded in muscle fibers, remove adhesions, and minimize scar tissue buildup. Muscle lengthening in sports massage helps restore a range of motion and overall flexibility. Sports massage also leads to improved circulation which aids better cell nutrition, greater elasticity of muscle fiber, and reduced recovery time.

Sports massage is a blend of Swedish massage and Shiatsu specifically designed to cater to the needs of professional athletes. Depending on the needs of the athlete, a variety of techniques are used including classic Swedish strokes, cross-fiber friction, pressure-point work, and joint mobilization.

Types of Sports Massage

Sports massage therapy includes pre-event, post-event, maintenance and rehabilitation techniques that promote greater athletic endurance and performance, reduced chances of injury and faster healing.

Pre-Event

Pre-Event sports massage helps warm up the muscles by stretching them and making them flexible for optimal athletic performance. A pre-event massage also stimulates the flow of blood and nutrients to the muscle, reduces muscle tension, loosen the muscles and produce a feeling of psychological readiness. A pre -event massage is best done up to two days prior to the main event.

Post-Event

Post- event massage focuses on relieving muscle soreness, minimizing the effects of fatigue and reducing the stress levels in the body. It also helps reduce swelling, maintain flexibility, promote blood flow to the muscle to remove lactic acid and waste build-up and reduce cramping. This also helps faster healing.

Prevention

This is more of a maintenance massage which can be done at least once a week as a regular part of athletic training programs. Preventive massage increases the flow of blood and nutrients to the muscle and helps repair small tears due to strenuous physical activity. It also keeps tissue loose so that different layers of muscle slide over each other.

Rehabilitation

Sports massage is also used as a last resort in the event of injury. Sports massage helps rehabilitate by minimizing the adverse effects of scar tissue and adhesions caused to the athlete and helps regain lost flexibility and strength.

Techniques in Sports Massage

There are three main techniques of massage frequently used in sport, namely effleurage, petrissage and frictions. Most of the massage techniques ensure the main pressure is directed towards the heart to increase the venous and lymphatic flow. The strokes also ensure that excess pressure does not cause any damage to blood vessels. While effleurage is a preparatory background stroke, petrissage allows detail work on the body in releasing tension followed by friction.

Benefits of Sports Massage

The benefits of sports massage impact the physical, physiological and psychological levels. A state of well being is achieved only when all the three aspects are in balance. Here is a compilation of the key benefits attained at each level through a sports massage:

Physical effects of massage are:

• Deep massage causes the pores in tissue membranes to open, enabling fluids and nutrients to pass through enabling removal of waste products such as lactic acid.

• Deep massage encourages the muscles to take up oxygen and nutrients which promote faster healing

• Sports massage stretches muscles to release tension or stress caused due to excess physical activity

• Sports massage helps break down scar tissues which usually affect the muscle, tendons and ligaments which impair performance.

• Sports massage helps improve elasticity of tissues.

Physiological effects of sports massage are:

• Sports massage helps reduce pain.

• Muscles are relaxed after a sports massage

Psychological effects of sports massage include:

• Reduced levels of anxiety and stress caused due to relaxed muscles and nerves.

• Sports massage stimulates a sense of well being and health.

Sports Massage Therapist

A sports massage therapist must be trained & certified in Sports massage therapy from a school accredited by the American Massage Therapy Association/Commission on Massage Training Accreditation/Approval (AMTA/COMTAA) or their State Board of Education. A professional therapist may also have completed an additional training program approved by the AMTA National Sports Massage Certification Program. Many sports massage therapists also complete the National Certification Examination for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork.

Sports Betting And You

December 24th, 2008 by admin | 3 Comments | Filed in Online Gambling
Shaun Parker asked:

Sports betting comes in many different forms, and can be used for virtually every sport, whether it usually is or not. The premise of the sports bet is simple: gamblers place bets in the form of money as a way of stating that a certain team will win or lose. This can be done with football, American football, baseball, and cricket, even games of poker or wrestling.

The opportunities for sports betting are endless simply because there are so many different sports out there and so many different takes on a single game; you can place bets in a straight forward win/lose way or shake things up a bit with spread betting, online betting and free bets or whatever tournament rules the bookmaker has concocted.

Constantly Popular

One of the most popular games when it comes to sports betting is football (soccer), because every nation in the world either plays or participates in worldwide tournaments. It is a rage amongst the Europeans, the South Americans, the Aussies and Africans plus other countries who adore the sport but just can't seem to get a foothold on the trophy games. Given the sheer number of teams playing, the number of regional, national and international tournaments on schedule and the massive number of fans, sports betting has long had its focus on football and bookmakers and savvy gamblers alike stand to make a lot of money from the game.

By all means, you can spend your money on any number of other games as well, however. Sports betting is a way for the sporting fans to just get in there, form a community and watch who comes out on top; we've all seen the shenanigans in pubs nationwide when the football finals are on, and you can be sure that a big percentage of those fans have bets placed on their favourite teams. Sports betting even takes place within the workplace during major tournaments and events; each employee puts in a pound or two, turns in their list of winners and losers and waits until the end to see who gets the pot of money.

There are two basic ways for you to get involved in sports betting: online and through the traditional High Street bookmaker. Both will probably offer promotional rewards depending on how you register and what events or games you intend to bet on, so the choice is really yours in terms of setting yourself up with a regular bookmaker. Do a little research, a little looking around on the street and online, and you're sure to find the perfect place for you to play around with your sports betting.

Sports Trivia Breakdown

December 24th, 2008 by admin | 1 Comment | Filed in Sports And Fitness
anonymous asked:

There are two types of questions: more obvious sports trivia questions and obscure sports trivia questions.

For example, an obscure sports trivia question would be something like: Who finished second in the Master's Golf Tournament in 2001? The answer is Ernie Els. Only diehard golf fans or sports trivia buffs would know this answer.

A more obvious question would be something like: Who is the NFL's all-time leading rusher? The answer is Emmitt Smith. Most NFL fans would know the answer to this question.

There are thousands and possibly millions of obscure questions but not nearly as many obvious questions. So let's take a look at some of the obvious questions for the major sports: football, baseball, basketball, and hockey. For all of these sports the records can be broken down by game records, season records and career records.

The major records for NFL football are passing, rushing, and receiving records. Here are three examples of the major ones:

Who holds the record for most touchdown passes in a career? Dan Marino, 420

Who holds the record for most passing yards in a career? Dan Marino, 61,361

Who holds the record for most touchdowns caught in a career? Jerry Rice, 197

The major records for basketball are points scored and rebounds. Here are two major records:

Who holds the record for most points in a season? Wilt Chamberlain, 4029

Who holds the record for most rebounds in a game? Wilt Chamberlain, 2,149

The major records for baseball generally deal with batting and pitching. The major categories for batting are batting average, hits, RBI, and homeruns. Here are two examples of major batting records:

Who holds the record for most hits in a season? Ichiro Suzuki, 262

Who holds the record for most homeruns in a career? Hank Aaron, 755

Generally the biggest pitching records deal with wins, saves, strikeouts, and earned run average (ERA). Here are two examples of major pitching records:

Who holds the record for most strikeouts in a game? Tom Cheney, 21 (16 innings pitched in an extra inning game)

Who holds the record for most wins in a season? Old Hoss Radbourn, 59

For hockey the major records revolve around goals scored, points, assists, and saves. Here are a couple examples:

Who holds the record for goals in a season? Wayne Gretzky, 92

Who holds the record for most shutouts in a career? Terry Sawchuk, 103

There are also many records for teams in all sports. However, most sports trivia questions are based on individual records.

Some records won't last for long, while other records may fall very soon.

We just saw the record for most touchdowns in a season fall when LaDanian Tomlinson shattered the old record. We also saw Peyton Manning set the record for most touchdown passes in a season. This coming season Brett Favre may set a new record for touchdown passes in a career.

In baseball Barry Bonds is closing in on Hank Aaron's homerun record. However, the record for most wins in a season will probably never be broken.

There are all types of sports trivia questions that can be asked and there are many more sports that can be included. To know many of the answers a person would have to be a sports fan and a bit of a history buff.
