    Beatrice Portinari who he never married in real life was love of his and inspired him to write

    I know he was a poet…..
    to me it was like a fantasy novel
    I didn’t grow up with hell in existence as a fire pit you go too in the end

    yeah well a game following a middle aged civilian who faints a lot would not sell, the developers themslves admitted aspects of the original work had to be tweaked to turn dantes work into a playable and exciting video game

    If you love the work, you should know that the game resembles very little of the book. Dante was a middle-aged men when he wrote this, not some big-ass crusader
