At least A-rod has some integrity and courage to apologize for what he did. The guy was already a great player before he was traded to Texas, he probably gave into pressure and made a stupid mistake just like Michael phepls. On the other hand, players like bonds and clemens keep denying that they ever used enhancing performance drugs. Babe Ruth used to drink a lot and smoked tobacco very frequently, to me that’s not 100% percent clean and it also sends a wrong message to youngsters.
Predisent Obama is great individual and leader. He’s my president and i respect him. However, I don’t think he should be criticizing A-rod for using these forbidden subtances when he himself admitted to using cocaine and marijuana in his college years. People make mistakes and they should learn from them . Remember we’re all humans, we’re not perfect. We shouldn’t judge others based on their mistakes, we should instead jugde people on how they correct them and overcome them.

Even the sports in America are becoming tarnished. It’s just encourages the children to learn how to bend the rules to succeed, but that’s a valuable lesson in today’s world.
Personally, I could care less that A-rod took PED’s and the fact that people are already concluding that his career is tarnished depresses me. Their is a blatant double standard when it comes to role models(Michael Phleps). Middle America must realize that these people never asked to be role models and are not culpable for the effect their actions have on us. It is we who allow ourselves to invest our trust in the exploits of people whom we do not know. America needs to get over it.
