the big 12two teams in the elite 8 one of them going on to a national championship putting on a great performance and had 6 teams with 20 wins that got in the tourney the acc was clearly not the best only 4 teams got in with only 1 getting out of the second round not much of a comparison when u have a ntl champion along with an elite eight team plus when ur #1 nc gets trashed like they did against memphis u shouldnt say ur conference is the best

It wasn’t about three years ago. It was actually this season if you are talking about top to bottom strength.
The ACC was first this year in conference RPI, which measures every school and how well they did out of conference. The Big East was fifth. The Big East had more tournament teams but also more pitiful teams.
I’ll agree. The ACC was the best conference about three years ago. I’m just saying from top to bottom,the Big East is the most difficult because you can basically,lose to anyone except DePaul.
The Big East has something like 32 teams, so yes, they have are going to have more teams in the tournament.
Also, when I say the ACC is the best, I don’t necessarily mean this year, but in general they are. More years than not, they are the best conference. Historically, they are the best conference. The Big East was formed about five mintues ago.
The Big East’s supposed best team — Georgetown — was never a serious threat to go deep in the tournamnet. They lost to Davidson.
The ACC only got four teams into the tournament. How in the world were they the best conference?They only had one team make it to the sweet 16. The Big East got about half their conference into the tournament.

The Big East is the best conference. The ACC is just top heavy iwht Duke and UNC. No one else matters anymore.
Also,an announcer is supposed to be OBJECTIVE when calling a game. He shouldn’t show favortism. He is an awful announcer….

Less bias? He is perhaps one of the most biased announcers in all of college basketball along with Vitale. He is pro ACC all the time.
Give us Gus, Enberg, Bilas, etc. I won’t watch with the sound on until Packer is not used.

i don’t really have a problem with him i don’t mind him at all actually.. i think he’s a good commentator.. as for len elmore, that’s another story..

I call on CBS Sports to please let Jay Bilas and Dick Enberg call the Final Four because Jay Bilas knows more about college basketball than almost anyone and Dick Enberg is still better than Jim Nantz at calling basketball, but just barely. I have a serious question for Sean McManus, who is the president of CBS Sports. WHEN ARE YOU GOING TO WAKE UP AND PULL THE PLUG ON THIS OLD HAG????????? If ESPN were in charge of the NCAA Tournament, he might not even be calling games.
